RITES OF LOVE

A group of three wedding songs for medium high voice and piano. The songs include:
1. Set me as a seal The texts are taken from chapters within The Song of Solomon, especially chapters 2, 7 and 8.
2. Apache benediction The text is anonymous and believed to be a translation of an Apache poem used in early wedding ceremonies.
3. Love is... This text is preceeded with a Latin text based on Psalm 128. After the Latin section, Love is... completes the song, using sections from I Corinthians, Chapter 13.
